Do you do wedding hair styles in addition to makeup?
Yes. Wedding hair styling is really a specialty, and the best results come from a hair stylist who specializes in wedding hair styles. You may book your own hair stylist, or work with one of our talented associates. At Fine Makeup Art, makeup artists do makeup and hair stylists style hair. We specialize.
Do you accommodate large wedding parties?
The largest wedding party we have done was 30 people for hair and makeup! So, yes. All the time. On time.
What kind of makeup do you use?
The best products from each brand. Choices are results driven. Nars, Makeup Forever, Dior, Viseart Paris, Anastasia, Laura Mercier, Haus Labs, and Fenty Beauty to name a few. Multiple types of HD Film Foundation. I custom blend several colors and finishes to create a flawless, invisible, long-lasting foundation for each person. Professional quality makeup that has been tried and tested on television and in photos.
Do you use Clean Beauty Products?
Yes. If you let me know you would like to use all Clean Beauty Products, I have several terrific Vegan, clean, cruelty-free, gluten-free and talc-free options. Â
Favorite clean brands are Westman Atelier, Haus Labs, RMS Beauty and MILK Makeup.
Do you do airbrush foundation?
Certainly. But, the preferred method is by hand. A makeup artist’s skill is the ability to blend, mix, move and manipulate makeup. An airbrush is essentially spray paint. The finish tends to be flat and pageant-like, which is not the aesthetic I’m going for. I achieve beautiful, glowy skin, multi-dimensional, long lasting foundation by custom blending multiple formulas and finishes of HD Film foundations for each person’s individual color and skin texture. This produces a flawless, nearly invisible foundation that will last the entire event.
Do you have experience with different skin tones and ethnicities?
Everyday. My work in the media and corporate environments involves people from all over the World of all ethnicities and colors.

Do you work with Mature Skin?
Everyday. My work in the media and corporate environments involves people from all over the World of all ethnicities and colors and ages. From Barbara Bush to a documentary in 2023 about Sister Jean of Loyola University (104 years old!)
In relation to Weddings, sometimes doing makeup for the eldest members of someone’s family is as important to me as doing a Brides makeup. I know these photos will be in their family for years to come, and I am honored to make them look their best.
Do you work with assistants?
No “Junior Artists”. Every team member at Fine Makeup Art & Associates has 15+ years of experience in weddings, as well as photo/tv/media makeup. These are experienced, working multi-media artists that have an esthetic that alligns with my own style and vision.
Do you specialize in wedding makeup?
In addition to my work in tv/photo, my Wedding work has been published and/or mentioned in Modern Luxury Weddings, BRIDES Magazine, Grace Ormond Wedding Style, advertising for The Peninsula Hotel Weddings, Modern Weddings Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, Refinery 29, and a preferred vendor of Kleinfeld NYC (“Say Yes To The Dress”). Fine Makeup Art & Associates are a preferred vendor at many Michigan Avenue Hotels.
Each member of my team has 15+ years of experience of making Brides beautiful!

How long will the makeup last?
The makeup will last at least 12 hours.Â
More importantly, your makeup will look fresh and natural. The foundation is barely visible.
You may have to touchup your lip color and blot powder later in the evening. The makeup is really designed to be very low maintenance.
Relax and enjoy the day!
What is a "makeup trial"?
We discuss your makeup preferences, the style of your dress, the flowers and decor you have chosen for your event. The makeup artist will design a look for you, based on your individual personality and personal style. You will be able to preview your look before your wedding day to see what it looks like at different times of day, and in different types of lighting. Your personal touches, like more blush, or thicker eyeliner are noted and the look is perfected. You will not just like, but love, your wedding day makeup!
Do I need a makeup trial?
Highly recommended. As for any wedding vendor, the least amount of surprises, the better. Brides who like the style they see on this website and are confident, will book first and do a trial later. It’s up to you. It’s a good idea to book a trial sometime before the wedding day, either before booking the date, or after.
How far in advance should I schedule a makeup trial?
Makeup artists can be booked six months to a year in advance, depending on the month. Scheduling a trial and consultation well in advance is a great idea.
How long does a makeup trial take?
1.5 – 2 hours
Where does the appointment take place?
At your location. Within the city of Chicago, North Shore, and surrounding suburbs. No travel fees. Please contact Fine Makeup Art for longer distances and destination weddings. Travel fees may apply.
Is the Trial included in the Wedding Package?
The trial and consultation is separate, and paid at that time.
Can You Stay for Touch-ups?
Certainly. Please contact me for rates. This makeup is designed to be long-lasting and low maintenance. Sweatproof and cry-proof. The only thing you need to do is touch-up lip color, use oil blotting sheets occasionally, and carry a blot powder compact for later in the evening. The beauty of modern makeup, when done correctly, is the ability to last all night and maintain color, without the need for touch-ups. Â
IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE FOR WEDDING SERVICES?
Generally, yes. There is a minimum number of four people for makeup services, and four people for hair services during peak wedding season. However, there are exceptions. Please contact me with your wedding date and location.Â
